Sheikh Yamani Medallion

The Academy's consultant and master-calligrapher, Mr Rasheed Butt of Islamabad, completed the design of the Sheikh Ahmed Zaki Yamani Medallion (see below), and got it struck at Lahore, Pakistan. The first 50 copies were personally delivered by Mr Butt to the Academy in March 2008. The first awards of the medallion were made by Dr Mai Yamani, the distinguished daughter of HE Shekh Ahmed Zaki Yamani, during the Iqbal in Europe Centenary Conference (q.v.) in London on 17 June 2008.
